   Preparing the pump for maintenance

   The BluFlow Control needs little maintenance, but dirt or a blocked or damaged rotor can still make maintenance necessary. You'll notice this from reduced capacity or if the pump stops working altogether.

   • Take the pump out of the pond
   • Make sure the power is off
   • Disconnect the pond hoses

   Cleaning the filter lid and pump housing

   • Unscrew the filter lid and clean it, removing all dirt
   • Also clean the inside of the pump
   • Remove the base to open the pump housing
   • Loosen the pump housing and take it off, clean it and check for dirt

   Checking and cleaning the rotor

   You'll now see the rotor. Take it out of the pump housing and check it for dirt and damage, such as a small stone or other debris that may have gotten stuck. Also clean the pump housing itself and put it back into the pump after cleaning.

   Putting the pump back together

   If the rotor is defective, you can order a new one through our web shop.

   • Put the pump housing back on
   • Put the base back on so it clicks and sits firmly in place
   • Screw the filter lid back on
   • Put the pump back in the pond and check that the capacity is good again

   Installing and filling the pump

   Once you've fully installed the BluFlow Control pond pump, you can place it on the bottom of your pond. Don't plug it in yet, but first make sure the pond pump is completely filled with water. Then check that it works by connecting it, either directly to your filter, waterfall, or according to your stream.

   To show that it works, plug it in and water will come out of your pond pump.

   Adjusting the flow with the control knob

   If you want to adjust the control knob of your BluFlow Control, first turn off the pump. Turn the knob to the other setting and switch the pump on. You'll see that the flow is now reduced to the lowest setting, so you can, for example, perfectly adjust your waterfall.
